Finnigan,

I say, are you certain you want the section on identifying and neutralising protections in the field? I've already got some notes on the disruption of the common methods used to guard wizards working on complex or collaborative spells during melees. I'd be willing to draft it if you'd prefer, what--I mean to say, if you've other responsibilities for the Council challenges.

Patil, the same goes for the footnotes. I can put them in almost as easily as get you the list of sources. I'm quite finished with the bulk of the assignment. Zabini's already approved the draft for his section as well.

Ron, Neville--I say, I know you didn't get on with Thomas but it still must be a terrible thing to lose someone you spent so much time with. Has Madam Hooch said anything about a memorial service? How is everyone in Gryffindor?

Cedric, I say, were you able to get any other information out of Professor Dolohov? I tried to ask a few well-phrased questions of concern but Professor Dolohov wasn't having any of it, what.

In light of the crisis, it may not have been evident that not everyone got owls last night at supper. Zach did, what; it said that the sponsors had shifted things round after learning of Avery's death and that Montague's taken over as his sponsor. So he's not out, after all. I say, he was rather surprised. (Bobolis said his letter thanked him but that he was no longer in the competition, what.) Ron, have you been reassigned? Bad business, if so, old man--I know you were hoping this meant you'd escaped the worst.

I say, it's going to be dashed difficult listening to Patil and Finnigan in Noble Arts this morning but perhaps I can find out what on earth they were thinking, or what Professor Dolohov told her, if that's helpful.

Hullo,

I say, I'm sorry I wasn't able to revise yesterday afternoon. I trust it needs little explanation, after that disastrous Charms lesson, what?

I do hope neither of you are still suffering any after-effects. Luckily for me, Madam Pomfrey anticipated that I might need an alternative to Pepper-Up at some point this term, what, and she had concocted a preparation for me. Unfortunately, it bally well knocked me flat for almost eighteen hours! I slept straight through luncheon and supper both.

But I thought we answered Professor Dolohov's questions well enough this morning, regardless, what? I'm happy to work together on Wednesday if you like. This Friday I do have plans, however.

Hello,

I say, sorry to keep you both waiting. I had made an offer to someone else, what, and had to make sure I wasn't needed there before committing to another group.

As it happens, that person has a team already, so I'd be delighted to work with you. Please tell Finnigan it's only the limitations of private messages that keeps me including him, as well.

We might wish to establish a regular revising time, what, so that we can make sure all four of us are involved in planning any assignments requiring group input.

At any rate, thank you again for the offer and I'm happy to be able to accept.

Cheers,

Hullo, everyone,

I say, something odd happened today. I got Neville's parcel--thanks for that, Neville, it's well grand--but then Professor Froissart told me that I had an invitation from Finnigan and his guardian to go to and visit Seamus. On Monday, what?

Apparently his guardian has to go to some bally old breakfast but then he thought Seamus could have some people over while he's gone, and then join him for luncheon at his club. And then there's a concert thing in the early evening. Pansy, I think it's one of those groups you like. Fat Kneazle or something like that--brilliant, really, any other day.

It would have to be Monday, though, what? Rotten luck. I've told them it's not possible. Dash it, though, I do dislike having to turn down an invitation one would ordinarily accept out of politeness. It raises questions, what?

I told Professor Froissart that I was well sorry but I had been looking forward to Lincoln in particular. He asked why and I had to say it was a family connection. It was the first thing I could think of, what.

It can't be that they suspect and wish to keep me from going to Lincoln, can it?

Are we certain that none of the adults can see now that Fred and George can't anymore?
