O'Leary,

I say, Professor Glozeman mentioned you're having a spot of trouble with Transfiguration. He's asked me to offer assistance. I'm jolly well happy to help, though I can't promise to be the best tutor one could wish for, what.

Why don't we meet up in the library tomorrow morning after breakfast, and you can show me some of your recent work. I'm sure we can get you back in fine shape in time for your O.W.L.s.

Do let me know if tomorrow's agreeable. If not, we'll figure out another time to begin.

Hullo, Dux.

No chance you could come visit Remy, is there?

Probably not. Merde Zut.

I'm sure you've seen everyone chatting about their O.W.L.s.

I was ranked third. Third--I say, not that I'm upset at coming third, but--I've no idea how. It's all jolly well embarrassing. I got an 'O' on Noble Arts, as well. I was so certain I couldn't get better than an 'A'.

I'd been hoping to bow out after this year, what.

I'm sure he'll object if I don't stay.

Well. The Jugsons were so pleased they lifted their punishment and have allowed me to go out again starting tomorrow. So if you can't pay a visit here, I could come to see you, perhaps.

Zut alors....

Half Over

More than half, actually.

I say, I think my brain might just leak out of my ears, what?

And we've another this evening. I'm almost too tired to eat--but then one wouldn't want to sit Astronomy with no supper!

At least I've only one tomorrow. If I can make it that far, what! And the end is in sight, I think.

Hullo, Friends,

I say, I don't know about anyone else but I feel as if we ought to have some sort of celebratory pat on the back for getting through our first week back at school. Holidays are meant to relax and rejuvenate, what, but this past holiday was anything but that for me or for most of us, I expect. And now to be back here.... Well, if one must be honest, the tension was growing thick before we left for Easter and now it's jolly well palpable.

Pansy, well done for exhibiting restraint in the face of extreme adversity. And Sally-Anne, I say, you showed bravery and fortitude under the gaze of the whole of the rest of school. You always joke about Gryffindors but you could have fit right into their Common Room this week. To have endured such treatment--and on your birthday, too, what--well, if this were any other place I'd say that deserves a stiff drink.

Capper, don't worry: I'm sure the swelling will go down before you have to do too much writing. And Miss Rubens, I've heard that Myrtle quite likes company, so if you're cleaning her bathroom you might try engaging her in conversation. You may have to put up with rather more in the way of complaint than dialogue, what, but then she has so few people to talk to.

Now, if Peeves will kindly keep his chewing gum out of Hopkins' toothpaste tube, we may bally well be able to enjoy the weather this weekend and start revising for our O.W.L.s in the fresh air, at least!

Holidays

Hullo, all,

Easter holidays are almost here! I'd been looking forward to a relaxing fortnight, what, but it seems I shall have to change my plans.

Mrs Weasley, thank you very much for your offer to host extra revising at your home. I say, it's dashed generous of you and we shall certainly be a more jolly group if we're all revising together. I had just been about to write to Mr and Mrs Jugson about whether there might be any provision for tutoring and now that doesn't seem it shall be necessary.

Mrs MacMillan, thank you as well, for the offer to come and visit Ernie. I'm sure we shall have a splendid time. I say, it shall be a marvellous break from all the revising we'll be doing for O.W.L.s.

I've one more thank you to issue: Professor Dolohov, many thanks for the additional sessions last week and this. It's reassuring to think that we'll be better prepared than many of us feared might be the case.

I've also heard a rumour there might be a Tea Appreciation meeting over the holidays. If so, I hope I shall hear a confirmation before too long, what! (That is, Mr and Mrs Ponds, if you'd be willing to host it again.) Though I daresay there's little time for it, as the agenda has been developing.

Still, two weeks when one can have a tiny bit of a lie in--and no mandatory exercise sessions three times a week--seems like the lap of luxury. Although it must be said that those exercises are bally well paying off, for some of us more than others. I think we all look much more fit as a whole than we did at the start of term. It's rather remarkable how a sensible regimen of diet and exercise can change one's look--and one's outlook as well, what!

Hello,

Have you received your timetable for the summer yet? I haven't but I was thinking about when we might arrange to see each other. Would your parents suspect anything if you spent more time than usual with Remy? Or if he invited you or something?

I did get an owl, by the way. She's a long-eared owl, because she reminded me a bit of Tevis. Her name's Teagan.

Oh, and the Jugsons have a muggleborn servant, did you know? Her name's Maggie. She's more Mrs Jugson's ladies' maid, I suppose. There's a cook but she's a half-blood. I'm to meet my tutors tomorrow. Alfie wanted to know if he and Remy were going to the tutor as well (Remy told him to shut it, why should he want to waste his summer revising, what!) but no, Mr Jugson said the tutor's just to make sure I'm well set for O.W.L.s next year.

But I do hope we may spend some time together soon. You remember that thing I said I wasn't at liberty to tell you? Well, I am now.

I've got to go for a while. Mr and Mrs Jugson want me to go with them to a garden party hosted by the Pages.

Soon?
