Hello,
Have you received your timetable for the summer yet? I haven't but I was thinking about when we might arrange to see each other. Would your parents suspect anything if you spent more time than usual with Remy? Or if he invited you or something?
I did get an owl, by the way. She's a long-eared owl, because she reminded me a bit of Tevis. Her name's Teagan.
Oh, and the Jugsons have a muggleborn servant, did you know? Her name's Maggie. She's more Mrs Jugson's ladies' maid, I suppose. There's a cook but she's a half-blood. I'm to meet my tutors tomorrow. Alfie wanted to know if he and Remy were going to the tutor as well (Remy told him to shut it, why should he want to waste his summer revising, what!) but no, Mr Jugson said the tutor's just to make sure I'm well set for O.W.L.s next year.
But I do hope we may spend some time together soon. You remember that thing I said I wasn't at liberty to tell you? Well, I am now.
I've got to go for a while. Mr and Mrs Jugson want me to go with them to a garden party hosted by the Pages.
Soon?

Date: 2012-06-25 02:09 am (UTC)I like the name Teagan. You should have her deliver something to me, so I can meet her.
Auntie Camille has a ladies' maid? But what for? I mean, it must just be to show off, because it isn't as if she's got Aunt Narcissa's lifestyle to lead, or her sense of fashion. Maybe it's even to show off to you, since she never had one before now. You'll have to let me know if they tell everyone about her at the garden party - though I should think they'll be more focused on showing you about.
Well, I can try to see if Remy will have me over, but then he'll want to spend time with us, you know, and we might not want him around the whole time. Maybe we could arrange to meet at a museum or a gallery, because Remy will probably get bored and wander off to find a place that sells comics.
Only, if what you're going to tell me is as big as the other things you've told me, we might not want to be in a museum or gallery when it happens.
Oh, I know, I'll bring some new comics when I visit. At some point, Remy will want to go off and read them. Especially if we talk about Arithmancy or the History of France or anything else that doesn't really interest him.

Date: 2012-06-25 02:38 am (UTC)I can send you pocket money for the comics, if you need any. Then you'll meet her and we can plan to get Remy out of the way, what?
I've no idea but it sounds as if she's rather new. Maggie, I mean. Although it also sounds as if their social calendar has increased lately. We've just got back from the Pages and then Mr Jugson told me that he's taking me (and Remy) to some sort of club on Tuesday. But Wednesday evening there's another supper party of some kind and your Aunt wanted to make sure I've proper dress robes for that. And there's a tea or a luncheon on Thursday and then at the weekend they've told me that we're going to a wedding and another garden party as well. So perhaps your Aunt's been planning to go out more often and wants to be well sure she looks smart for it?
I think it's often surprising how private a public place can be, but I do agree I think we want someplace where we'll not be overheard.
Oh, you saying History of France reminds me: I promised to write to duMaurier, as he really enjoyed being able to converse in French during the CCF testing. But I'll send Teagan to you first and wait a day or two until I've more to tell him, what?

Date: 2012-06-25 05:25 am (UTC)Pocket money would help, yes. I have a bit saved up but you know I don't get it very often, and it will probably require more than just one comic to keep Remy occupied.
Mummy doesn't like events and socialising, unless the Lord Protector will be there, so she turns her nose up at people who go out of their way to go to every party and event. And about the Jugsons, I think she feels that they enjoy the fruits of the Protectorate without doing much to build it up. Well, you know that she doesn't think anyone does enough of anything right - but parties and socialising are probably so popular because they help people to focus on everything good that the Protectorate has to offer, and not think about the rest.
Sometimes I wonder if that's why they keep us so busy at school, with CCF and YPL and Balls and Tournaments...
Anyway, I'm sorry to say that my Uncle and Aunt might be using you a little to flesh out their calendar; there's probably a lot of people who want to meet the boy who decided the Protectorate was so brilliant that he'd like to stay for good.
So I'll watch for Teagan in the morning. I'd better see if I have any owl treats around here, too.
Goodnight,
Hydra
