Everyone,

Did you hear Professor Dolohov as we were leaving the lesson this morning? We've got to tell him our working groups for the year before Tuesday.

I think though, if we all simply join up in our usual sets, we might give him the confirmation he's been looking for, about the Ministry and such, what? Also, we may all be mates but we're not necessarily all interested in exactly the same sorts of projects.

Has anyone else thought about partners? We might want to strategise so no one's left with a team that's completely incompatible. On the other hand, there might be some--Brocklehurst, Corner, Greengrass and even Moon--who could easily join a team without driving the others round the twist, what.

We made it out. We're heading to the rally point.

I say, we're taking rather heavy fire but we've managed to evade them for the moment. If I've time I'll send a message to Greengrass and Patil, what.

Chaps,

I say, good show today! Well done with the maps, Moon, and thanks for assuming the risk of taking point for most of the afternoon.

I'm well surprised we made it through the whole course, what! Well, I say 'we' but the rest of you did, at any rate. That MLE bloke seemed to know just where I'd be. Harry, lucky we switched bags when we did. There were--what--fifteen, altogether?

Harry, I'll have a word with Macmillan, shall I, about all the Apparation horror stories? I think they're putting Greengrass off her game. Patil didn't seem bally well happy with him, either--particularly after Zabini's incident this morning, what!

Hullo, all,

I'm delighted to announce that Tea Appreciation will convene at Laszlo's of London tomorrow at half-four. It should be a lovely, relaxing way to spend the final afternoon of our holidays.

Speaking of holidays, I hope those of us who have been focused on our studies have had a little time to regroup and recuperate before returning to school, what. For myself, when I wasn't revising with Weasley or Bones, I had a smashing time visiting the MacMillans and flying with my fellow Hufflepuffs. Remy, Alfie and I also managed to take in a few rambles through the Protector's Park. I say, I'm especially looking forward to this weekend's joyous occasion, Moon, and to seeing my mates from Ravenclaw again.

I think I may say quite honestly that, hours of revising aside, it's been a jolly good holiday.

Morning,

Did you work everything out with Remy? I say, I received my notification last night but when I saw you were writing to him I thought I'd let it alone. Is he still cross or has he realised it's a lost cause, trying to capture my interest? I do wish I could think of someone he might fancy instead, though, who'd fancy him back.

There's been nothing new in this morning's paper. I expect your father and mother will be home soon, then. And your uncles. It's well sobering, isn't it, to see an organisation of muggles get put down so easily. Makes one wonder what we can jolly well do in the face of the Council. Of course, that's rather the point, what?

Nothing more from Linus Moon, either, so let's hope that's that sorted. Nor from Smith, though I think Stebbins may have said something to him about not acting such a prat. He's growing more focused on next week's match, anyway, so perhaps he'll forget to be rude. Small chance, what, but one can always hope!

Hullo, all,

I've confirmation of what that lot with their sleeves off are doing.

Earlier this evening, Linus Moon, of all blokes, wrote to me to ask for 'Urgent assistance' and insisted that I come to meet him near the Dark Arts classroom. I say, at first I thought he was truly in distress, what, so I wondered if it were an emergency, if he really needed Matron.

No, he said, but nothing would serve except that I attend him straightaway. Well, one doesn't wish to let a chap down, after all, so off I went.

Turns out, Moon's plea was a ruse to lure me in to a session with the shirtsleeves company. It's nothing more than a private duelling club. Not that anyone's surprised to hear, what, but I can't think what made any of them decide I'm the sort who'd like to join. To say nothing of the dashed inconsiderate way Moon tried to trick me into coming, when I'd had other plans for the evening.

I left as soon as politeness would allow, naturally. But I thought you lot would be bally well interested, since so many people have been wondering.

Love,

Dash it, it's nothing urgent at all. But it's going to be another few minutes before I may disengage myself, what?

I'm sorry. I shouldn't have left but he did sound so distressed. I hate to disappoint.

Can you wait a while longer? I'm sure I shall be able to make my way back unobserved.
