Hermione, Draco,
Please, don't feel you need to respond. I'm sure you're more than a little turned upside down at present. I just wanted to say that I'm well relieved you both escaped and dashed sorry we couldn't help you any sooner. And I'm quite sorry for your losses.
It's difficult to know what to say. Other people, yourselves included, were much closer to Professor McGonagall and Professor Lestrange. I say, I've been trying to stay out of the way, mostly, and let everyone do what they need to do to cope. I suspect your own grief must be mixed into a well confusing morasse of feeling the loss of Hogwarts, what, and the changes in both your circumstances.
I thought you might both like to know that the memorial service today was not at all a proper sendoff, what, so if you have given even a single thought to having missed it, you may be grateful you did not have to suffer through it.
Also, I don't know if anyone has mentioned it, specifically, but: You were both exceptionally brave, what. And you both proved a credit to the Order, the way you resisted. Well done. I'm not sure all of us could have withstood the trials you went through.
And Draco, on a purely personal note: Thank you. I say, it may not be a charitable sentiment but I know I shall rest jolly well easier knowing that Theodore Nott, Jr., can never threaten Hydra or Hermione or any other person on this earth, ever again.
Well. I think I shall end there and leave you both to your recovery. Again, my condolences, and my congratulations, as well, for escaping your ordeal.
Very best wishes,
-Finch-Fletchley
