Have you been talking to Norma? I say, I know she was well upset when that pink woman said something about her mother. I couldn't hear what it was--I was trying not to overhear, what? but Norma obviously found the remark cruel from the way she reacted.
I heard a rumour that Whitacre rather muffed the last set of questions. Or did he simply not bother with them at all? He seemed to finish well before anyone else.
I'm not sure what Remy thinks he has up his sleeves but there's something. He's behaving far too helpfully. I say, do you reckon he expects to cosy up now so he can cause trouble later?
I shall miss you, even if it's only for a few weeks until we're on a YPL trip. If we're on one together, I suppose! I'm not confident we shall be, though.
But perhaps there's a way for you to spend time with your cousins, or they with you? We'll have to think about it.
I wonder if your uncle would object if I bought an owl in New London tomorrow?
